This pitcher appears to be hand-painted, is approximately 75-100 years old and is in very good condition. The note (number 260) refers to my grandmother who was born in 1876. The drawing (number 257) is my reproduction of the information on the bottom of the vase (number 259). The vase is 6 1/2 inches high at the handle, 6 inches at the bowl, 6 1/8 at the high part of the spout, 7 ½ inches across including the handle and the end of the spout. I would say that the light color is more of a cream than the pictures show and the flowers are more pink/red. The pictures make the flowers look to have more of a blue tone to them. You can see the one line in the spout which is a crack (see picture 258). There are signs of paint chipping under the lip of the spout and on the handle (picture 255 and 257). However, there are no indications of any chips on the pot. On the front of the pitcher there are some dark spots which do not come off (see picture number 255) and one spot on the middle of lip that looks like a paint flaw (picture number 258). In the picture it may look like a crack.
Victorian Vanity Mirror
Description:
This is a Victorian vanity mirror with a press-molded copper brass handle and interesting locking collar. It was found in Kaneohe Oahu. The beveled edge is slightly rust worn, yet the reflection is clean. The handle is patina and undamaged. The image is of woman that appears to be French Rococo. There is gold ink on the back decoration and the handle impressions are both curvilinear five petal flower and leafy vine motifs.
Snow Globe
Description:
This looks like an old "Snow Globe." It has an Arabian figure inside and it is filled with water. It sits on a mirrored base with sea shells attached to the mirror. I do not know if it is an antique or not. It was found while cleaning out a house.
